Dean and Dan Caten, twins from Willowdale, Toronto, began their fashion journey at Parsons School of Design in New York City in 1984. In 1992, they moved to Italy and founded their own brand. In 1995, they presented their first menswear collection as Dsquared2. The brand’s philosophy blends Canadian iconography with Italian tailoring, creating an alternative luxury that plays with sensuality. The collections represent a mix of contrasts, between sporty and glamorous, masculine and feminine. Based in Milan and London, Dsquared2 collections are produced in Italy, embodying the motto “born in Canada, made in Italy”.
